Your flowers have traveled a long way to get to you! With a little care, you can keep them fresh and beautiful for up to 7-9 days. Here are our secrets:

1. 💧 Find the Perfect Vase

Your flowers are thirsty after their trip! Choose a clean vase and fill it with fresh, room-temperature water. Make sure the vase is tall enough to support the stems and wide enough for the flowers to breathe.

💡 Pro Tip: If you don't have a large vase, divide the bouquet into 2-3 smaller vases - it looks spectacular and extends the life of the flowers!

2. ✂️ Cut the Stems at an Angle

First and most important thing! Before putting the flowers in the vase, cut 2-3 cm of each stem at a 45° angle under cold running water. This way the flowers can absorb more water and not suffocate at the bottom of the vase.

💡 The secret to longevity: Trim the stems every 2-3 days by about 1 cm. If the ends seem slimy, cut a little more. Always use scissors or a sharp knife, do not crush the stem!

3. 🍃 Clean the Lower Leaves

Leaves in water = enemy #1 of flowers! Remove all leaves that would reach below the water level. Leaves that rot in water create bacteria that clog the stems and kill the flowers quickly.

💡 Bonus: The fewer leaves, the more energy goes into the petals. Your flowers will look prettier and fuller!

4. 🔄 Change the Water Regularly

Fresh water = happy flowers! Change the water completely every 2-3 days. Each time, wash the vase thoroughly with detergent to remove invisible bacteria. Add the floral preservative from the included sachet - it works wonders!

💡 Pro trick: Add a small drop of bleach (one drop per liter of water) to keep bacteria at bay and flowers fresher longer.

5. 🌡️ Choose the Perfect Location

Your flowers love coolness! Keep them in a cool place, away from:

• ❌ Direct sun (petals wilt quickly)
• ❌ Radiators and heaters (dries them out)
• ❌ Electronics (TV, computer - emit heat)
• ❌ Strong drafts (from AC or windows)
• ❌ Fruits (emits ethylene gas which ages flowers)

✅ Ideal place: A cool corner in the living room or bedroom, out of the sun but with indirect light. Perfect if the temperature is between 16-20°C!

6. 🌹 Bonus: Remove Wilted Flowers

A wilted flower affects the rest of the bouquet! Flowers that are starting to wilt emit ethylene gas that ages the surrounding flowers. Remove them immediately to keep the rest of the bouquet fresh and happy for longer.

💡 Don't throw away the petals: Rose petals can be dried and used for potpourri or relaxing baths!

• 🧊 Summer trick: Add 1-2 ice cubes to the vase when it's really hot - flowers love it!
